I have to admit it: 1054 and All That isn't for everyone. I mean it isn't for readers who don't have a sense of humor. (Yes, there are a few such people, sad to say.) This book is for those who want to read real Catholic history presented with wit and whimsey and who aren't embarrassed to laugh out loud.

1054 and All That is for those who studied Church history in the past--and for those who never did. I say it contains all the Catholic history anyone needs to know, but I won't claim that it's the most comprehensive history of the Church (not remotely!).

What I will claim is this: 1054 and All That is the most enjoyable history book you ever will read.
